Truth is, while Backcountry worked hard on the composite boot and engine cowls, the cowls don't fit the airframe well. The upper boot cowl has fitting problems but I'll keep part of it in order to save the windshield channel, which is a nice detail. Now to blend it into a more typical sheet metal boot cowl. Here goes. The metal is rolled and placed for scribing the pieces, then the pieces are cut to shape and temporarily assembled. It's going to work. The side panel will be removable to allow access behind the instrument panel. That should come in handy.
