These big Keller flaps have three return springs on each side. The flap extension force required to lower them is insane. At two and three notches down the tensiometer reads over 100 on the 1/8" cables. Too much tension. Something's gotta change.  I never liked the floppy flaps on a Cub when there's a breeze on the tail so I'm adding a flap return cable and losing the bungee springs. Easier to pull and when they're up they're locked.

Cables are in for good. Pulleys and fairleads are installed. It ain't fun but it has to be done before the floors can go in. My grandson wants me to hurry up and finish it so he can take a ride. Pops is on it!
